Cryto.com recently announced that they could have a team competing in SailGP, as soon as late 2023.
This will be in addition to other high-profile sponsorship deals with the Staples Center, the Australian Football League, Formula One, and the UFC.
SailGP is a global racing league that has positioned itself as the Formula One of sail racing. It was co-founded bu Larry Ellison, of Oracle and world chanpion yachtsman, Russell Coutts. The SailGp format features fast foiling catamarans that race in spectacular locations around the world. The next event is scheduled in San Francisco, March 26-27.
Singapore based Crypto.com predicts that crypto owners will surpass 1 billion by the end of 2022, up from around 300 million in 2021. They currently have 10m users buying and selling 250 cryptocurrencies on their site and are investing heavily in global sports sponsorships and advertising to capture an even bigger share of the market.
