The governors of seven states indicated they would share data and research to assess how and when to restart business operations. #CentSai #businessoperationIn developing a data-driven, expert-led strategy to reopen their economies, the governors of New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut,  Rhode Island and Massachusetts announced on Monday they will work together in combating novel coronavirus, citing an intention to share key statistics and research across state borders to create a plan forward. 

This announcement, delivered by New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, signaled a significant shift in tone from the last month, during which the aforementioned states, and New York especially, were among the worst affected by the virus’ rapid spread throughout the nation. 

Social Distancing Continues, However

The announcement also coincided with Cuomo’s declaration that he believed that the worst phase of the pandemic was over for New York State, though he stressed the continued importance of practicing social distancing and other preventative measures to ensure the rate of new infections continues to level off or decline.
