I think the best way to start is to tell them that you trust them implicitly and you plan to have your marriage work and last a long time. However, you recently did research on pre-nups and for reasons x, y, and z you think you might be a good candidate for them. Keep in mind that your other half might not react well and if that’s the case, you may need to wait a little while before bringing it up again. Just gently bring up the topic to start but be armed with research and statistics to explain yourself fully. A glass of wine while you talk can’t hurt either.
