If I do not have an employer-supported IRA plan what percentage of my income should I put into annually?

You can put up to 25% of income into a SEP-IRA, so that’s a great percentage to shoot for (up to $53K)

ultimately, your goal is 15%. 10% is a good goal to begin with, but anything you can save is better than saving nothing.
