I know investing in income stock is associated with a lower risk, but also a lower reward. What are some other pros and cons to investing in an income stock as opposed to a growth stock?

The pros are if the market is in a bad place at the time of your investment. These stocks are consider safer so they most likely won’t lose as much value, which would result in you not losing much money. A con is if the market is in a good place. Once again the stock will probably only move up a little bit and you wouldn’t have made as much money as you could have made from a growth stock. In general income stocks are much safer so if you are new to investing they are probably the stocks you should be investing in at first.
