I currently am not required to file my taxes; however, would it be advantageous to do so regardless?

*checks date of question* The tax deadline for the 2015 tax year has passed. However, if you don’t have to file for next year, I’d say to go ahead and do it for practice. I love personal finance but I’ve still messed up on my taxes a few times. Getting familiar early on will save you from costly mistakes later on.

Are you not required to file because you don’t earn the minimum investment or earned income, you would have to file If you have had federal/state income tax taken out of any pay you have earned and want to get it back.
